This year’s panel is comprised of a diverse team of experienced individuals. They will be speaking to their journey within Campus Living Centres, how the company has grown, and what innovative initiatives have been launched during their time with us. We look forward to having the panel share their stories and insights while giving delegates the opportunity to connect and ask questions.
RESIDENCE LIFE COORDINATOR | MOHAWK RESIDENCE
Sean has been in the position of Residence Life Coordinator with Campus Living Centres since May 2013, having been given the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Residence Life working for Seneca College, Georgian College, and most recently, Mohawk College.
At all three properties, he has played a significant role in many of the core initiatives as well as development of each of the Residence Life Programs. Through these undertakings, he has been able to demonstrate his passion and dedication to supporting students as they transition through their first year of post-secondary education.
Sean is currently completing the Master of Education (Post-Secondary Studies) program through Memorial University, where he has two more semesters left until completion.
RESIDENCE SERVICES LEAD | MOHAWK RESIDENCE
Kyle started with Campus Living Centres in 2009 when he joined the Mohawk Residence S.O.S (Social Orientation Staff) Committee for the 2009/2010 school year. The following summer he was a housekeeper, which then led to a part-time Residence Services Representative position / Residence Council President title while he finished his final year of studies at Mohawk College.
After graduating from the Convention and Meeting Planning – Post Graduate program at Mohawk College, Kyle was hired to run the breakfast room during the 2011 summer accommodation season. At the end of the summer, he was offered a full-time Residence Services Representative position.
Flash forward to 2018 and Kyle is now the Residence Services Lead at Mohawk!
REGIONAL MANAGER, SALES & MARKETING | CANADORE, CAMBRIAN, BOREAL, AND GEORGIAN RESIDENCES
Robyn began her journey with Campus Living Centres as the Sales and Conference Manager at Georgian College in September 2014. Prior to this, Robyn kick-started her career at Marketing Magazine within Rogers Media coordinating national tradeshows, custom publishing projects, and media advertising sales initiatives. Returning to Georgian College, she coordinated Orientation and Transition events within Student Life and managed large-scale trade shows within Barrie for a privately owned company.
Robyn has been an active member of the Campus Living Centres team, participating in many community and corporate initiatives and has presented at the Annual Conference yearly. Among her many achievements, in the Spring of 2017 Robyn was awarded the RCC $500-1 Million sales award for her team and continues to strive for success. Now as Regional Manager, Sales and Marketing at Canadore, Cambrian, Boreal, and Georgian Residence, Robyn is working towards streamlining the regional sales process and maintaining positive client relationships between the four institutions.
DIRECTOR, RESIDENCE LIFE & THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE | CAMPUS LIVING CENTRES
Greg joined Campus Living Centres in 2013 as a part of the Property Support Residence Life Team. With 10 years of Student Affairs experience, he began his professional career doing recruitment at Carleton University, then moved into Residence Life at the University of Toronto.
Greg has played an active role in helping the Res Life program grow across the company. From service learning programs, to policies & procedures, to the Mental Health Symposium, Greg has utilized his education and experience to create the best student experience in residence. Working with the Residence Life Management Team is by far Greg’s favourite part of the job. He enjoys supporting the growth and development of each member and seeing them progress in a career they love.
DIRECTOR, OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING | CAMPUS LIVING CENTRES
Jay started with Campus Living Centres in April of 2012 as the Housing & Leasing Manager at The Ezra-Bricker Student Apartments in Waterloo working with Wilfrid Laurier University. The Ezra-Bricker Student Apartments started as a set of 12 apartment buildings containing 795 students and now consists of an additional 22 houses, with a total building count of 33 and total bed count of 950.
After taking control of the properties in Waterloo, Jay began to oversee the beginning stages of the Off-Campus Housing Portfolio which started as a handful of properties and has now grown into a very significant part of the overall CLC portfolio consisting of 11 properties throughout the country.
Now as one of the Directors of Off-Campus Housing, Jay has continued to manage his own property while working towards improving processes & tenant satisfaction, driving occupancy %’s and growing the GPR throughout his portfolio.
